I am Munira R Salim, a community development practitioner committed to advancing education and human capital development for marginalized girls and women. As the Founding CEO of the Development and Education Empowerment Network (DEEN), I create pathways for young women (especially school dropouts and underserved girls) to access education, digital skills, entrepreneurship training, and safe learning spaces.
My work focuses on equipping women with the knowledge and confidence to participate fully in the modern economy, including opportunities in the green, blue, and circular economies. I have trained MSMEs through Sote Hub’s Sokoplug Program, mentored women across Africa through the Women In Africa Initiative, and supported youth with practical business and leadership skills.
With leadership certifications from the University of Manchester, Cornell University, Lean Six Sigma, and Circular Economy Entrepreneurship, I am committed to designing programs that promote sustainability, inclusion, and empowerment. My mission remains clear: to uplift women through education and unlock the potential that strengthens entire communities.
